And it all made sense.

I love light for its darkness. I love the sun for the shadows it creates. I love a candle for the dancing silhouettes it creates on the wall.

For years now, I have spent hours and hours in museums, having a look at the art but spending more time looking at the shadows emerging for the bright, precise, curated lighting. I have tried to paint them. Make prints of them. Completely unsuccessfully.

The light came from a fellow artist. the very talented Daisy Cook who posted one of her wonderful collages on Instagram. But the light on the work was different. And it suddenly all made sense. The series Stereochrome would be Collage. Scrupltage, to be exact…
